Placement Cell has been established in the year 2005 to help the students in getting selected by various companies.  It has been doing a wonderful job in training the students to match with the requirements of the companies.  Forty Seven of this college students got selected by various reputed companies from the first batch and which motivated the juniors to improve their skills to match with the requirements of the companies.

 

Dr. Y.Jagannadha Rao, MIRPM, M.Phil, Ph.D.has been appointed as Placement Officer  in the month of July’ 06 and since then he has  been putting forth all efforts to make good number of students gets selected by the companies.  As a part of this, good number of colleges got pooled together and started conducting Pooled Campus drives in Visakhapatnam to allow students to participate in good number of drives.

 

Globalization has changed the Employment Scenario in our country and there is huge requirement is there for the companies and only thing is that they are searching for the prospective candidates.  Keeping in view of the above, College has started giving Training to the III year students to live up to the expectations of the companies. College has got tied up with specialists who can train the students in Quant and Verbal aptitude to fit for the Recruitment drives.. By the time they enter into the final year, they will be fully equipped with all the ingredients that are essential for them to prove in the Campus drives to be conducted by the companies. Apart from this, College is conducting special classes to impart technical skills to the students, which is essential for them to prove in the drives conducted by various companies.

Fresh College Graduates Looking for Job Opportunities

So many people have adopted a pessimistic assumption that nobody is hiring fresh graduates anymore. The truth is that they still do, but they have a specific set of requirements that most fresh graduates cannot offer. Here’s a rundown of what it’s like to be a fresh graduate looking for a job.

Companies Prioritize Experience

The names of respected colleges like Al-Ameer College of Engineering and IT used to be enough to give alumni enough advantage against other applicants. You can look at a job description for entry-level positions but one of the requirements is a year of experience in the field. 

The biggest reason behind this is that companies cannot provide training for complete novices. Those who can have already accepted interns. The ideal setting is that they’ll train the students in hopes of absorbing them once they get their degrees. This also ensures that the employees already have chemistry with the students before hiring. 

What if the companies didn’t absorb the student or the fresh graduate is aiming for a different profession? This is usually where the trouble starts. It is often remedied by recruiters or job fairs. The only problem is these opportunities. This is often a boon for people with degrees in fields under the bachelor of science.

Employment Abroad Has a Steep Requirement

This applies to all aspiring employees abroad. For most employers, fresh graduates from schools from the US, UK, France, Italy, Germany, and China are the most appealing. The only time that an applicant from India or other countries are considered is if the ones from the mentioned countries failed the assessment. 

Many employers are also not keen on having to ask and pay for permission to hire a foreign applicant. For example, the UK has to seek permission from the home office before setting an interview with an applicant from outside of the country or the European Union. Often, schools in India pay for these fees to help their alumni.

For fresh graduates of schools that are not willing to help with the fee, they either have to seek the help of an organization. There is a risk of scams when a recruiter asks for payment from each applicant, saying that it is for the home office fee. It’s safer for applicants to become members of more recognized organizations for safety.

Things Fresh Graduates Need to Prepare Before Job Hunting

If you plan on working in India, then you can skip the passport. As for those who don’t, this is required. The process can be long so it would be better to have them before sending an application. Once you have it, then you can send your letters and wait for a job interview offer. 

Begin preparing your other documents such as valid ID, degree, photographs, and clearance from your local investigations bureau. Once you get the job abroad, you need to ask for an official letter from the company. This will help you get your visa. Good luck with your endeavours.
